All students at LPS – San Jose are invited to participate in student government.  Elections are held in the fall of each school year and two students are elected by their peers to represent their grade level in student government.  In addition to this, a core group of ASB officers are elected.  These students are the foundation of the student government and are responsible planning and organizing dances, fundraisers and lunchtime activities. All students can participate in student government planning and help host events.
